Terms of Service

By accessing or using Goobo Labs ("the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

Goobo provides open Somali-language datasets, models, and a data-science learning platform with nine career tracks, mentorship, and certificates. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

The current release is a prototype provided for demonstration and evaluation.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to notify us of any unauthorised use of your account.

• Provide accurate, current information.
• Keep your sign-in links and one-time codes confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

Paid tracks are offered on monthly, 3-month, and 6-month plans. In a live deployment, payments may be made via mobile money (EVC Plus, Zaad, eDahab) or card, and access is granted upon successful payment.

In this prototype, no payment is actually processed and any "order" is a simulation.

Where payments are live, eligible enrollments are covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, subject to fair-use conditions. To request a refund, contact us within that window.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights.
• Share paid course content or account access without authorisation.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Harass other learners, mentors, or community members.

Course materials, the Goobo name, and the platform are owned by Goobo Labs or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access content you enrol in.

Our open datasets and select code are released under open licences (such as CC-BY-4.0 and MIT); your use of those is governed by the applicable licence, not these Terms.

Certificates are issued upon completion of the relevant courses or track and carry a credential ID that can be checked on our verification page. Certificates recognise completion of Goobo coursework and are not accredited academic qualifications.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goobo Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Datasets and model outputs are provided for research and education and may contain errors.

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
